Club of Hungarian Science Journalists

The Club of Hungarian Science Journalists (CHSJ) was founded in 1990 as a successor of the science-tech division of National Association of Hungarian Journalists. The main aims of the foundation of the Organisation was to establish an independent professional body for scientific journalism; to provide a financial background required for the operation; and to establish the network of international relations.

The main focuses of our civil organisation are strengthening connections between science journalists and scientists; assisting further professional training; and promotion of the education of science journalism. At regular events of CHSJ leading scientists meet journalists, professional issues are discussed; and field trips are organised to various research organisations.

CHSJ has been a member of European Union of Science Journalists’ Associations (EUSJA) since 1990, and was the organiser of the 2nd World Congress of Science Journalists.
